The workshop will take place from Monday November 3rd to Thursday November 6, 2025.

Venue

The venue is held in the Bernoulli Center, room GA 3 21, situated on the campus of the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne.

How to get there

Plane: The city of Lausanne is directly connected with the airport of Geneva (approximately a train every 10 minutes. The trip lasts about 50 minutes) and with the airport of Zurich (similar frequency, the trip takes about 2 hours and a half, but there are more international connections).

Car: The EPFL campus is located close to the highway exit “EPFL, St.-Sulpice” on the Swiss highway A1. There is a paying parking on campus.

Train: There are direct train connections with France and Italy and many international conncetion via Geneva, Basel, Zurich. You can check suitable connections at https://www.sbb.ch/en.

Metro: To reach the campus by metro, you can take the metro from either Renens train station (M1 métro, direction Lausanne Flon), or from Lausanne train station (take M2 to Lausanne Flon direction Croisettes, then change and get M1 direction Renens). The closest metro stop to the Bernoulli Center is “UNIL-Sorge”. The closest metro stop to the hotels Swiss Tech and Starling is “EPFL”.

Accommodation

We take care of the hotel reservation of all invited participants. For accepted participants who come at their own expenses, there are two hotels close to campus and walking distance to the Bernoulli center: SwissTech and Starling. There are of course many other options in the Lausanne area. During your stay at a hotel in Lausanne area, you are entitled to have a free pass for local public transportation. EPFL campus is conveniently linked to downtown Lausanne and Renens by the metro M1.
